I think these likely voter models pollsters are using are over stating the GOP vote, I honestly do. I don't see how NY voters could elect a sleaze like DioGuardi.
SurveyUSA for the White Plains Journal News Rochester Democrat and Buffalo Chronicle 9/20-21/10; 572 likely voters, 4.2% margin of error Mode: Automated phone (SurveyUSA release)
New York
2010 Senate (B) 45% Gillibrand (D), 44% DioGuardi (R) (chart)
2010 Senate (B) 54% Schumer (D), 33% Townsend (R) (chart)
2010 Governor 49% Cuomo (D), 40% Paladino (R) (chart)
www.pollster.com
Meanwhile Quinnipiac shows a slightly larger Gillibrand lead and smaller Schumer lead.
Quinnipiac 9/16-20/10; 751 likely voters, 3.6% margin of error Mode: Live telephone interviews (Quinnipiac release)
New York
2010 Senate (B) 48% Gillibrand (D), 42% DioGuardi (R) (chart)
2010 Senate (A) 54% Schumer (D), 38% Townsend (R) (chart)

1. The media and the republicans are fudging these type of polls |
|
because they are trying to be sure the already programmed voting machines that favor republicans won't be questioned.
