(R)asmussen Poll--GA Governor: Deal (R) 45% Barnes (D) 39%
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Georgia Voters finds Deal with 45% support, while Barnes earns 39% of the vote when leaners are included. Libertarian candidate John Monds trails with five percent (5%). Six percent (6%) prefer another candidate in the race, and five percent (5%) are undecided.

This marks a fallback for Deal whose support has been steadily rising from 43% in March to 51% last month. But Barnes is also at the low end of his support, having earned 39% to 43% of the vote in those same surveys back to March. This is the first survey to include Monds.

1. The 'Deal: Too Corrupt For Congress' ads have been running a lot.
Maybe they've had an effect. I still think most will vote for a crook over a Democrat here.

And then there our 100% Diebold machines...

2. Isn't he in the middle of losing his home and going bankrupt? You'd think
That would hurt him. But in GA, a POS Repub still has a great chance. Sad.

3. Barnes *should* be kicking the stew out of him. I see more anti-Deal commercials than I do
car commercials.

And then there's the possibility of bankruptcy.

4. these are likely voter numbers, probably if it were reg voters Barnes would be leading
it's up to the Dems to get off their butts and vote in November.

5. Boortz called it for Barnes this morning. And I think he's right. I know many, many Repubs
who are voting for Barnes because Perdue has screwed up so much by way of appointments, etc.

I'm definitely voting for him in November.

7. If Barnes can get good turnout, he wins
He's got to get Democrats out in every corner of the state, even in places where there aren't many Democrats. He can be a big road post in stop the Republicans from gerrymandering the Congressional map.
