Siena Poll--NY Senate (special): Gillibrand 57% DioGuardi 31%
Gillibrand Is In Her Strongest Electoral Position Since She Was Appointed Senator

“Coming off his Republican primary victory, DioGuardi has not gotten any momentum or gained any ground on his effort to unseat Gillibrand. Gillibrand has a 26-point lead over DioGuardi, and the 57 percent support she currently has is a record high for her,” Greenberg said. “Another high point for Gillibrand is that on the generic
question, 44 percent support electing her, compared to 37 percent who prefer ‘someone else.’
“Being viewed favorably by 43 percent of voters is also a high water mark for Gillibrand, who is viewed unfavorably by 26 percent, with another 30 percent having no opinion or not knowing her. DioGuardi is unknown to nearly two-thirds of voters, and among those who have an opinion, they are evenly divided betweenthose who view him favorably and unfavorably,” Greenberg said.

3. they use a likely voter design which I truly think is under counting dems who will vote despite
not being overly enthused.

4. But if you watched "Morning Hoe" this morning, he said that Gillibrand is in trouble.
And Terry McAwful was on this morning echoing everything that The Hoe was saying. I nearly threw up when he condemned Obama for "not listening to Bill Clinton" on the health care reform effort. Really? Are you serious? And, of course, McAwful was right there with him. Since when did the Repukes like Bill Clinton??!?!?!?

Schumer is a blowout of course.

but 45 to 44 is ridiculous.

7. that's like the paladino/cuomo race here in ny for gov.
according to our local news, paladino has people calling THEM to donate money. at 47 to 40, paladino is gaining momentum. while i take all polls with a grain of salt, i think it is too early to really dermine much of anything regarding voters and elections. i mean, we have a whole month left.... i wonder if people are really paying attention to much beyond the commercials we are all being accosted with.
