for anyone who still likes Obama. what would you tell him?
me...
1. You said you would report back to the public -- a true cost/benefit on the stimulus money. Where's that accounting? It would be good PR to get on tv once a week and report that "we spent a mil in stimulus money in cleveland and it added 500 jobs" and so forth and so on. Hell, give the briefing in a different place each week - a place where jobs were created.
2. You said you would withdraw the troops from Iraq. I haven't heard a word about that either. Where's the accounting? Get on TV with a freakin chart and show 100,000 in October, 90,000 in November. Remind everyone !
3. TARP - Another chart - dollars expended - dollars paid back - net difference ! This is a good thing - remind everyone.
3 good things, right ??

2. His problem with TARP dollars paid back, |
|
is that the banks who are paying back the TARP really may not be able to afford it in the long run. Their balance sheets are still full of crappy derivatives and now crappy commercial loans.
Large TARP recipients are paying that money back so that they can pay their executives more. It's that simple.
Note that the O team is letting AIG, of all crooked enterprises, break the $500,000 salary cap for five top execs who want more.
Be careful what you wish for on that one.

4. Yup - in the campaign he did that - now he's become a pragmatist |
|
seeking compromise. Bet it would be a lot different if we had say 70 votes - then we could leave nelson, lieberman, snowe, et al in the dust.
You know, I think a healthcare would be the perfect cause to fight a filibuster over. during the house debate -- those against sounded so uncaring next to our speakers who talked compassion. the other side looked horrible.

Anyone who paid attention and looked back at his career knows that.
