However, to be honest, I've heard more noise for Obama to release the names (when he has--even before requests) than for Bush too. I figured it was because he had secret Black Panther seances for Huey Newton.

Republicans or other scumbags. Don't put it out as a WH visitors but just those that signed in. They probably signed in someplace but not the WH. But those dirtbags don't need to know. And somehow give them the idea that all of those Republicans that are their supporters were visitors to the WH even though they weren't.
