I wish our side would STOP promoting Christine O'Donnell eveyday in the media |
|
All there doing is giving her free press and keeping her in the news.I know she's BAT SHIT CRAZY but all the crazy shit she's said over the years isn't going to stop her crazed supporters from voting for her. This is the same way the media started out on Palin if you remember with her nutty speeches and interviews like seeing Russia from Alaska.AND NOW LOOK after two years later the media is taking about her as a serious Presidential candidate I personally think keeping O'Donnell in the news like they are enhances her chances of winning in DE.They don't even mention the candidate on our side it's as if O'Donnell has no opposition thats my take on this.Anyone disagree

1. Its not as if the Dems are in control of the media....its vice versa |
|
The GOP is going all out to discourage voting...knowing full well their side will comeout in full force...
Their mission is voting suppression by sullying the atmosphere with their neg outlook...playing the fear card, the there is no difference between red and blue card, the everyone does it card....
these dudes are slick in brainwashing the easy to fool crowd.....all 20 million plus of them
Our side seems lacking for now, but I suspect will still prevail come Nov and in 2012

She only has two promoters: right-wing rags who take her seriously, and comedians, who know a joke when they see one.

I can understand why the rest of the M$M is obsessed with her, but I cannot understand why our side gives her so much credence through their coverage...

It might peel away the votes of some people who would believe her normal if not for the exposure.
It's called campaigning.

admitted to not knowing anything about her, yet voting for her because they were bitten by the anti-incumbent bug.
They need to know what she is.

4. She is the new Sarah Palin. I think it makes the Democrats look |
|
petty to portray her as crazy because of a few things she said years ago. Didn't we all do some goofy stuff when we were young, I sure did? I don't give a damn if she was against masturbation or was curious about witchcraft years ago. I frankly have no idea what she thinks today because of that stupid petty crap and it really doesn't matter to me since I can't vote for her anyway. In my opinion Sarah Palin was more of a Democratic product then she was from the media.

By the time the 2008 election was over, 80 percent of the country rejected her.

How young? A person in their 30s declaring that she wants to stop everyone from having sex?

damn what she said about masturbation, sex or witchcraft last year or ten years ago. It's those childish attacks on her that make Democrats look petty and cheap. By the time the 2008 election was over 80% of the country rejected Sarah Palin. It looks to me like today Sarah Palin is the most influential figure on the Republican side and I think people are mistaken making a joke out of her.

it's Democrats that are trying to make a joke out of her. They did the same with Palin and if it did anything it helped her. If she is wrong for the job tell us what she says about the issues, I don't care what she thinks about masturbation.

Her positions on sex, masturbation and monkeys are relevant to the issues. The woman is a poster child for the Republicans' regressive policies.

You're repeating Rachel Maddow's line? She may not have stated specifically that she was talking about blue dogs, but she was.
The fact is that Democrats are gaining in races where they were written off a couple of months ago. Many are leading when no one gave them a chance.

19. Our side is doing no such thing. |
|
And 'cause I like you, here is a pearl of wisdom: the only people who say all publicity is good publicity are people who never had any publicity. A person or thing simply being on TV does not mean it is being promoted. It just doesn't. Note that O'Donnell herself is running from the national publicity. Another thing dude, is that 'the media' is not some guy in an office. The same people who mocked Palin seeing Russia still mock Palin. Those who pretended she was more than crap still do. I defy you to find me even one media figure who mocked seeing Russia who now calls her a contender. There isn't one. And, the kicker, I fully disagree that keeping her on TV helps her win. I think it harms her. Our side likes to indulge in the fantasy that 'on TV=instant success' but if that were the case, no product would ever fail, John McCain would be President, Ford would still make Edsels. What folks like to believe is not really true. She got 30,000 votes. The last winner of that office in that state got over 125,000 votes. This is a spectacle, not an actual election.

Sure the 20-30% base loves her, but the rest of the country?
I doubt it.
Let her be the face of the Republican party. It hurts them in my opinion.
Why else would people like Rove and Krauthammer come out against her? They are WORRIED about her hijacking the party and causing massive hemorrhaging in Republican votes.
This can only be beneficial for us.

If that Macaca tape hadn't been played over and over again we'd be looking at George Allen in the Senate, probably planning his presidential run.
O'Donnell is a not very bright fundamentalist crackpot and the voters of DE need to be aware of what she stands for.
