|
thats all.
What is being accomplished?
How can the President get a feeling from main street with such a small group, no doubt picked by local democrats in order to get softball questions?
This is like some of the meetings held by, I wont say who.

28. A LOT is being accomplished... |
|
He's giving very informative answers which help more than the people in the audience.
If you think he's anything like Bush just because he's talking to people in a backyard, you're WAY off and you obviously didn't WATCH him just now or in his past events.

this is for show and nothing else. Were you invited? I wasn't and I am a lifelong dem now residing in the county he is speaking in.
If you want to get in a pissing match over who has viewed/listened or participated more over the last 40 years you are on.

17. Obama "I am a Christian by choice." |
|
Edited on Tue Sep-28-10 11:53 AM by Clio the Leo
... goes on to talk about how he was not raised in the church .... "precepts of Christ spoke to me in terms of the life I wanted to leave, being 'my brother's keeper' .... Christ dying for my sins spoke to the humility we all have to have humans .... we are all flawed .... achieve salvation through the grace of God ..... what we can do is try to see the best in people and help them .... that's what I strive to do and pray to do every day. My public service is part of my effort to express my faith. As President, I deeply believe the bedrock of this nation is that it embraces all faiths or no faith ... this country is still predominantly Christian but we have and their own path to grace is one we have to revere and respect as much as our own and that's what makes this nation as great as it is."
and later...
"We have to constantly reaffirm our tradition of Freedom of religion, even if it sometimes makes us uncomfortable."

I know you're religious (unlike me) which makes it even better that his answer could make the likes of BOTH of us happy. And his answer should put the Muslim lie to rest, although it won't. :hi:
