I don't think the comments about whining and not voting is meant for the left
..of the Party.

The left always votes, no matter how much they might "whine".

But it is meant to get the attention of those that might not vote. The young, the Independents, the moderates that do not vote in every election. I think that is who they are concerned about? The left is only the ploy to get the others attention. I may be wrong.

1. You're right
Some are just predisposed to victimhood and looking to be the ones "insulted."

5. Or
Unless you are a right wing troll trying to get people here upset enough to stay home and NOT vote! Seems like every time something gets said, we have the right wing trolls here posting how "upset" they are with the president! Today seems to be another one of those days when the "trolls" are here in full force trying to do their dirty work.

7. Obama's administration telling the left to "stop whining" is a dog-whistle for the right
It is an approach that is sure to help swing fence-sitters in the center and even on the right to vote D this fall. Remember - these folks think they don't like "liberals", and if they think Obama feels the same way, then they feel better about voting D in November.

The downside of course, is that we feel like we've been run over by a bus. But that's a price I'm willing to pay.

8. It's preemptive , just in case the worst happens and someone has to take the fall
Wouldn't want the Blue Dogs with all that corporate cash to take the blame, would we?

14. It doesn't?
Obama has a very parental/teacher-ish approach sometimes.

16. It's an insult either way
Biden used the word "base", which I've always thought meant liberal. You know, like the people who did the hard slogging to ensure the White House win.

So now the base ISN'T liberal? Now THAT'S insulting.
