9. You were the one insisting that his keeping his distance was great strategy. |
What do you think now? I mean, aside from "lol"?

10. I said it was wise. And I still think it is. |
As I ALSO said in the other thread: he's fighting the "experience is bad" meme. And most of you critics aren't real familiar with the persnickety Wisconsin voter. Feingold is wisely running a campaign on the fact that he does not toe the party line. He and Obama do not see eye-to-eye on a number of things and IF he's distancing himself it's with good reason.

13. No, Feingold is either a worthless villain or a faultless hero! |
Our only guide to his identity is the trivial ephemera we can conjure by psychoanalyzing a single decision!

15. Well your "distancing" strategy hasn't helped, now has it? Russ has been one |
of those who has bandied about his "mavericky" status. So, why now? Why be seen with a president whom you consistently oppose? Why not just pull a Joe Lieberman, or a Bernie Sanders?

23. If you think it's wise to not appear at a rally at UW-Madison |
then that's one of the most ignorant and dumbest things I've heard on DU.

6. I wonder what so many on DU would say if it does help Feingold in the end. |
Interesting. They wouldn't give the props to Obama---even though Feingold is basically double digits down.

Someone suggested that he was going to lose because he wasn't going to appear.

27. As a dear friend of mine explained... |
"And Feingold ended up making it....he didn't promise to be there because he had a vote (and hadn't missed one this session--I don't think he's missed any since his mother passed away several years ago) and it ended on time and the weather cooperated for a plane to get him to Madison on time. No conspiracy, no running away from Obama, just doing his job."
