8. I guess Russ wanted to make sure that Obama could still draw a crowd?
I mean, WTF has been his hesitation. Clearly his strategy, whatever the hell it was, has not worked up til now. He ran away from this president who the base still supports. Not sure Russ knows what the hell he's doing.

10. Poor Planning on the Part of The Obama Team to have the rally on Library Mall
No way will everybody fit there, and i doubt they will even fit on the overflow on Bascom.

Camp Randall would have been much better :-) Or Down West Wash like in 04'

13. Did the Obama team plan it; or, did the local officials plan this event?
Is *everything* the fault of Obama?

17. Indeed
I'd have to think long and hard about voting for any Democrat this year who ran away from the president, or pulled the ole' "scheduling conflict" trick.

29. Important, if one opposes outsourcing jobs
However, it still failed to get the "necessary" 60 votes because of Republicans and a few misguided Dems. Even so, it was important for Feingold to be present and vote for it.

30. There was a bill against the tax code encouraging sending jobs overseas that the Reps filibustered
along with some Democrats. Reid obviously knew that it would fail, but this was a good bill to at least put them on record. Had Feingold NOT voted on that, I assume that his challenger would attack him on not caring enough to stay to make that vote. (Cynically ignoring that it had no chance due to all the Republicans voting against it.) The attack would be arguing that he was not doing his job as well.
