Prediction for the Mid-term Elections: Hold me accountable!

I predict Democrats will hold onto both houses.

If I'm wrong, I welcome all forms of derision, including cute plays on my user name, such as:

And so on.

I have no statistics. I have no facts to back up my claim. This is 100% female instinct.

What I do possess, however, is a strong faith in the party leadership, and in the party faithful, to come through in the end.

And if I'm wrong, then I'm wrong. Shoot me. Rhetorically-speaking.

7. I agree with you and have all along.

People are screaming..paul will win paul will win - well I hope he doesn't but you have to remember a republican had that seat anyway. And as crazy as Miller in Alaska is remember a republican had that seat to begin with also. I know we don't want these crazy people in office. But republicans were going to vote for republicans anyway. We only have 13 seats in the senate to defend. The republicans have 19. AND who is to say we couldn't knock a republican or two out. Same goes for the House. The republicans have as many seats as the Democrats to defend.

11. I've been thinking the same thing

myself.

We may wind up enduring the curse of living in interesting times. As in, it might be interesting to watch any of the Tea Party candidates who actually gets elected, and how they behave when they get to DC. I suspect they have absolutely no clue what an elected member of Congress actually does.

There is also almost no thought given on the part of those who think destroying our government will result in a better society, just what will happen when they get the destruction they want. These are people who are simply mean, who have no sympathy or empathy for anyone else at all. So long as they have what they want, to hell with everyone else.

I am hoping that in the next four weeks Dems will be out there exposing the meanness, the lies, the complete selfishness on the part of the Republican Party, and especially those who identify as Tea Partiers.

More importantly, if the Dems retain control of Congress, I hope they finally get some spine and actually pass the legislation we need to get this country out of this mess.
