Should California be more like Texas??
This is what Jerry Brown should latch onto like a snapping turtle.

Get that clip into a commercial, stat.

1. CA should be like TX and Fresno is worse than Detroit.
Meg goes two for two in the same week. What other "CA sucks" talking points does Meg have in her quiver? Is the "I just lost the election" trifecta just around the corner?

2. If poorly managed Texas is her idea of what California should be, she's not too bright

Quite the winner, Meg.

3. Jerry's Next TV Ad
Jerry's next television ad is already written for him. Just run the cut of Meg calling Jerry Dracula, and the one where Meg says California should be more like Texas.

Way to go, Meg!

7. Oregon should flush twice.
I love the state. Lived in SD and SF. Every progressive should be given the option of joining Canada.

8. California Vs Texas....Employment & Housing
Texas’ August 2010 unemployment rate was 8.3 percent. The Texas unemployment rate has been at
or below the national rate for 44 consecutive months.
California's jobless rate is at 12.5 percent

Thus far, Texas has not experienced significant damage to property values.
California’s mortgage delinquency rate reached 9.9 percent in July, 2010.
Property values in California are down double digits.

Overall Texas seems to be weathering the recession better than California.

and hence biggest drops. Still can't disregard the fact that
Texas state finances are in much better shape than CA.

12. I wonder though -
When you look at the unemployment rates - can you really compare the 2 states? What I'm wondering is are people in Texas working in living wage type jobs? Are wages comparable for the same jobs? I tried looking around but couldn't figure it out...
