Remember when Obama showed up in Kucinich's district to get him to vote for the health care bill? |
|
wouldn't it be nice if he showed up in a few Republican districts to ask them why they are holding up whichever high priority item we are focused on at that moment?
wouldn't it be nice if he encouraged voters to tell that congressperson what they think of the congressperson's position in opposing something really important?
he could even threaten to visit a blue dog Democrat's district.
why not?
and isn't it easier for all of us to get behind Obama when he takes clear action such as the above?
when we know what we're getting behind.
when everybody is told what the difference between the two parties is?
Axe? Do you hear me? does anybody in the WH or Congress hear me?
Please?

1. Presidential strong-arming is reserved for the left, the right gets a free pass. |
|
Blue Dogs get their concerns addressed and capitulated to, progressives get told to "fall in line" and "shut up."
Not exactly awe-inspiring.

4. But hippie-punching is so much more viscerally satisfying. |
|
Useless, but satisfying.
