Oh, lemme think, he is not supposed to sleep, he is Superman, he
needs to reverse DADT and everything else that the clowns before him passed. And he is guilty for not undoing the shit that the past administration did! Goodluck to you President Obama!

4. Hey, we're "waiting for Superman."

Certain persons tried to give us that impression about themselves, not so long ago ...

5. It's called a political campaign
My Progressive Congressman is riding around with dogs in his car. You think I believe he really doesn't have any other friends in Washington besides those dogs?

6. Yeah, it's a political campaign, sure --
but yet and still,

2008 -- pose for photo-ops as Superman, talk about Hope and Change, tell us that "we are the ones we've been waiting for" -- give your acceptance speech at a sports-palace in front of a Greek temple, etc. etc. --

And just two years later, in 2010, do some disultory hippie-punching, and grouse to one's audience, like some stand-up comic who's flaming out --

"Tough crowd; tough crowd. Can I get some applause here?"

Where have all the flowers gone?

7. That's what you choose to see
Some people always choose cynicism.

8. Some chastise Obama for his every move. Some praise his very breath. Neither extreme is realistic.
Blind faith in any politician is a fool's game.

The wild cheering for Obama for taking a good pic or uttering a few vague eloquent lines has the been the catalyst for unreal expectations since the primaries. Getting things done doesn't just require proclamations of good intentions. It requires a readiness and an ability to take on and defeat your political enemies. This has not been the experience with Obama from where I stand.

Having said that, gnawing away at his every move is just as absurd.
