Meg Whitman's Housekeeper -- 'Explosive' Allegations (TMZ)
A tabloid source, I know. But this sounds rather juicy.

Meg Whitman's Housekeeper -- 'Explosive' Allegations
44 minutes ago by TMZ Staff

The former housekeeper for Meg Whitman -- the Republican candidate for Governor of California -- is about to make "controversial and explosive allegations about her former employer," TMZ has learned.

We're told the housekeeper has lawyered up with none other than Gloria Allred. The housekeeper and Allred will hold a news conference today in Gloria's office at 11 AM PT, "to tell how she suffered as a long-time, Latina household employee in Meg Whitman's home.

We're told the housekeeper will be filing a legal claim against Ms. Whitman.

From what we're hearing, the disclosures could have a significant impact on the campaign and possibly the election.

We will, of course, live stream the news conference. It doesn't matter where you live -- Don't miss this one.

14. Yep, that's what I though too...
... but it does amuse me in times like this how Dems (and whatever Bill Maher is) can usually come together to help drive down the GOP. I only agree with Alred during election season. lol

8. Really now
"I am Mrs Rich Bi**h. I can do what I want. If I were governor I could make everyone bow down to me."....see what scads of money does to some people. It is a shame that having a lot of money doesn't make someone humble. Here you have John Kerry - loaded and what does do fight for the people. Ted Kennedy what did he do fight for the people and so did FDR. But you have the McCains, Koch etc who try to squeeze more and more out of the people. I guess it is the nature and character of people that makes them Democrats instead of republicans. Doesn't it.

17. It wasn't always by party line
Everything that Teresa Heinz Kerry does, that is so in line with what her Husband, John Kerry worked for, are things that she and her Republican husband, John Heinz was for. Her foundation has helped some inner cities setup pilot healthcare and prescription drug programs, funded work on the impact of toxins in the environment on health - especially cancer, women's pension rights - an issue John Heinz worked on, and of course the environment. Here is a recent Time magazine article that speaks of Heinz's devotion to the environment. http://ecocentric.blogs.time.com/2010/09/21/honoring-green-heroes%E2%80%94and-a-republican-environmentalist/

Obviously, Kerry is more liberal than Heinz was, but there are huge areas where they fought for the same things.

13. Sling that mud!
It seems mudslinging is the only way to win an election nowadays.
It's a shame that ideas and policies alone can't support a candidate.

At least if the allegations are true, the mud pies are of Whitman's own making and she will have herself to blame.

16. A citizen has a right to sue
That is not slinging mud, the housekeeper is not a politician, she is a person who has knowledge of and has been harmed by a woman who seeks a great public trust. If the allegations are true, the housekeeper is doing a great service to the people of California.
Your post frames the housekeeper as a political operative, and that is slinging mud if you ask me. Can you back up your implications?

27. First of all, the timing. Why right now?
And granted I don't know the facts of the case and it might just be coincidence but it seems unusual for a fired illegal housekeeper to instigate a lawsuit against their previous employer. Especially right when that employer becomes the subject of national news.
