CNN on Madison Rally: Rally lacked 'wild excitement' of '08--LIARS
(I was there and the crowd was wildly enthusiastic and fired up. CNN the new FAUX):

Madison, Wisconsin (CNN) -- "I'm fired up and ready to go!" President Obama yelled after casually walking on stage at the University of Wisconsin at Madison on Tuesday. The overwhelmingly student crowd cheered happily, but without the wild excitement they gave candidate Obama two years ago.

Obama looked visibly older and grayer than at his February 2008 campaign rally here, just a week before the presidential primary. He appeared slightly tired on his second day of travel, after arriving from a backyard discussion with voters in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

"Change is going to come! If we work for it! If we fight for it!" Obama cried defiantly.

White House aides billed this Democratic National Committee rally as an opportunity for the president to re-energize the base, to recapture the energy and magic that young voters brought to the Obama campaign. DNC officials estimated 15,000 would pack the mall across from the campus library -- a slightly smaller crowd than the 17,000 that filled UW's Kohl Center in 2008.

But University of Wisconsin Police Chief Sue Riseling reported the DNC exceeded its expectations, with 17,200 filling the outdoor space and 9,300 gathered in an overflow area a block away, for a total of 26,500.

Despite the numbers, the mood was markedly different from the euphoria of campaign days. The rally's headline entertainer, blues and folk singer Ben Harper, set a mellow mood with a quiet performance before the president took to the stage.

12. Agreed - I Only Wish That All Those Disenchanted Dems Would Recognize This And.....
realize that this is a concerted effort to bash Obama and the Dems and render them impotent in their governing the country. It's coming from Obama and the Dems from all sides - MSM, corporations, SCOTUS, Chamber of Commerce, the wealthiest of America. They don't want their gravy train upset and they will do anything to put them out of power.

Ask yourself - where is all this money coming from in this time of great economic strife in this country.

This is a war folks. They are trying to keep you down and keep the Dems from actually getting our country back. We were on our way - except the Party of No put up roadblocks throughout the last 2 years.

The only hope we have is to keep the Dems in control after November.

Don't buy into the propaganda that Obama is weak. The reason all this money is being poured into this midterm election is because the other side perceives that Obama is strong and they are afraid of letting him make good on his campaign promises.

We need - even more than in 2008 to GOTV - because this election is more important. The other side got a taste of what Obama could do - even with all the roadblocks they put up - and they are afraid of him.

Don't sit home in Nov. Don't sit out this election because you didn't quite get all that you wanted. Get your friends, relatives, neighbors, disgruntled Repugs, Independents out there to vote in Nov so the Dems can retain control.

Just look around you - it doesn't take a 'rocket scientist' to realize that those of you that are disenchanted are being played by those that are trying to get back into control.

6. I wonder where the reporter got their degree. Regent University??
We are not electing a President. If they want to make comparisons they will need to wait 2 more years. Otherwise, any comparisons should be made with previous mid-term elections.

8. The media has shamelessly been trying to tramp dowm
Dem enthusiasm and give every sort of support to the Republican Party that they can. CNN had Republicans on during the rally to give them fair coverage. You would have to be absolutely blind not to see the bias.

"inevitable."

It's as if they spent the whole rally sitting on their hands.

25. Good - let them continue to say shit like this. Let them continue to say how badly the Dems are
going to lose in November......

It will only show the world what a bunch of worthless fools they are on November 3rd when the Dems retain power in both Houses.
