1. What a constructive OP.
A follow-on post without reference.

Do you just need attention?

12. Just want to let every one know that I
love Rachel and think she's the best going on M$M right now. I would rank her up with the best of them, past or present. Never miss a show and make sure everyone I know doesn't either.

2. Maddow is always good for me --
She is truthful, accurate, consistent, and smart as hell. DU is only bi-polar on her when she dares when she steps on D or O toes.

3. I think she is very good, but like all of us.....she's not perfect.
I don't believe anyone is....

but considering the whores who work in news,
she's ranks way up there on the anti-whoriness meter!

I like Rachel. I listen to her daily, both her radio show and TV podcast.

But I don't genuflect to her. I don't think she's always right. Just like I don't think the Democrats/Obama are always right.

I think there is a contingent of DUers who worship at Rachel's feet and never criticize her for anything. I'm not one of those. I criticize everyone when such criticism is warranted.

4. Rachel Maddow does not spoon feed her audience
Spoon feeding is for toddlers and Limbaugh fans

8. I watch Rachel regularly.
She is a hard working and thorough professional new analyst who loves America and the Human Race.
She had become an effective educator.

If she has a fault, it might be that in her fervent desire to help Americans understand how American politics work, she can sometimes get almost frantic in her delivery. As a fellow educator, I can understand that. She sees the importance of political enlightenment and it's obvious to her that the rank and file American voter is falling short of understanding that they are being manipulated by dishonest people. She sees that there is no "level playing field" in the world of politics.

9. She's terrific when debating a GOP pundit, but lousy as a TV talk show host
Her hosting style is unbearable, overly frantic and sarcastic. She leads off every show in that mode with the juvenile grin and mocking theme. I can't stand more than a minute or two.

It's so frustrating because her straight faced style is so effective, lancing a Republican talking head or politician point by point. Rachel should book guests of the opposing partisanship every night and take them apart. When she rants on her own, or uses that, "I know, I know...," approach when a fellow progressive is ripping conservative positions, it's pathetic TV and she doesn't come close to maximizing her strengths.

Olbermann is just the opposite. He is animated and confident when destroying the latest GOP wobble, using the clever and dependable daily segments. But during the rare occasions he's confronted with the opposing viewpoint face to face he clams up and is ridiculously tentative.

15. Spoon feeding or Reality TV?
Rachel isn't an entertainer, Olberman is.

Both work towards the same goal.

14. I don't know why, but she BORES me
I've tried over and over again to watch Rachel. But I get bored. She comes across and trying too hard and being 'teachery'.

16. I think Rachel Maddow's currently the best serious pundit out there.
And I include Olbermann, Schultz, and the others who have their own shows. Rachel doesn't get hysterical, she doesn't scream and yell, and she doesn't overreact--she just tells the truth day in and day out.
