Rasmussen Generic Ballot: GOP 45%, Democrats 42%
Rasmussen hasn't had their generic this close for Democrats this year/

Monday, October 04, 2010

Republican candidates now hold a three-point lead over Democrats on the Generic Congressional Ballot for the week ending Sunday, October 3, 2010. This is the smallest gap between parties in roughly a year.

Forty-five percent (45%) of respondents say they would vote for their district’s Republican congressional candidate, while 42% would opt for his or her Democratic opponent. This is the first time during 2010 that the GOP edge has fallen below five points.

2. Generic?
Does (R)assmussen consider Palin, O'Donnell, Bachman, McConnell, Boehner, and others to be generic for the Republicans?

Or our more than qualified candidates on the Democratic side to be generic?

3. Add 3 points on (because it is Rasmussen) and that means it is essentially tied.
Which we all were beginning to suspect about a week ago.

4. I'm voting Dem of course,
But this shouldn't even be this close. The Dems need to get the message out there about getting rid of SS and Medicare. And Harry Reid let them off the hook on the Tax vote before the elections.

5. Rasmussen has to pretend their polls are getting closer as the election draws near and will give the
actual result.
