Oddly, the phyrric victories the GOP may have in November would be their undoing in 2012 |

I was listening to Mike Malloy tonight and he made an excellent point about the likes of extremists like Joe Miller, Christine O'Donnell and the other Teabag zombies winning in the fall and allowing them to continue on their zombie mission would IN FACT cause the Republican Party to be driven further into a far-left minority that essentially turns them into the Neo-Whig Party.
Let them think that their "message" is what the American people want. Surely polls may indicate that they will win... and when they do, they indeed will overstep.
Hilariously, as I am watching "The Last Word" on MSNBC, Micheal Steele admitted he doesn't know the minimum wage. Proudly. Laughingly.
This is a mere indication of how the Republican Party is headed toward being an obscure entity if they win in November. If they lose, expect their further implosion.
Again, as I watch Michael Steele talk about the embracing of small business, one might wonder why Republicans essentially voted AGAINST small business or just voted No.
I welcome the huge trap they are walking into.

1. Which is still no good reason to WANT them to win! |
|
It took TWELVE years to get the House back last time...and even then, I'm not sure we really DID get it back!

3. Anyone with a sane mind would certainly hope they lose... and lose badly |
|
But...
... if they "win", they will certainly lose badly later and even be branded as political poison immediately after...

If there is no move to at least force people to be accountable with money, they will simply buy the election in 2012.
If they can succede in winning by throwing money at the election, they will rain money in 2012.

5. All of the lunacy has been out there for years- and people are still buying it |

partially because perceptions of the other party ain't so great either.
I agree on one point though- Obama's reelection chances in 2012 (both in terms of a potential primary and in the general) improve with a Republican takeover of the house.
Assuming that- and depending on what the presidential approval polls look like around the end of next year, I agree with Nate that we may also see a viable independent 3rd party candidate in 2012.
Most likely someone with a LOT of money.
