CA Governor: Brown has $22.5 million in bank for last 4-weeks vs. Whitman

THE BIG ONE – BROWN’S STASH – California Attorney General Jerry Brown has $22.5 million in the bank for the last four weeks of his campaign against former eBay CEO Meg Whitman. That means that after keeping his powder dry for almost the whole cycle, the outgunned Democrat will have the cash to compete credibly with Whitman’s bottomless personal account. The Sacramento Bee’s Jack Chang has more: “Whitman has spent a record $140 million on her campaign through the end of September … Whitman spent $39.8 million from July to September, which comes out to about $3 million a week. Much of that money went to TV and radio stations all across the state, the new records show.” Whitman’s campaign put out an internal poll yesterday that had her at 41 percent to Brown’s 43 percent. http://bit.ly/ci39t1

You are in trouble especially after spending that much cash. California thanks you though for helping the economy. Jerry was smart to not try to compete with that and save his money for the home stretch after everyone has tired of Whitman.
