Close Gov race in Texas (Perry leads by 5)
Political Wire:

A new Texas Lyceum poll shows Gov. Rick Perry (R) leading challenger Bill White (D) in the race for governor by five points, 48% to 43%.

While White has an edge among both moderate and independent voters, Perry has a significant lead among conservatives.

Said pollster Daron Shaw: "Bill White is hanging tough against Rick Perry, but with just 12 days before Texans head to the polls for early voting and with just 3% of voters undecided in this race, White's path to victory remains difficult to see."

2. This race is closer than the numbers portray
I live north of Houston, in Ted Poe district, there are plenty of yard signs for White beside some GOP signs in the same yard. Some of the people I spoke with in these homes said they do not like how Perry is lying about White especially when it comes to Hurricane Ike response. Tricky Ricky is running an ad saying Bill White profitted from generators from BTC as an owner and did not respond to the needs of Houstonians and they know for a fact that is not right.

Ole Slick Rick thinks we forgot White tried to get funds to upgrade the electrical grid in Houston but slick rick blocked it or how he did not worry about money when the power was out but his concern was getting the power back on then fight with FEMA later about payment. We know he told slick rick to get out of his way during Katrina survivors coming to Houston because he had to time for grandstanding he was too busy working, or how the essentially had to threaten him to authorize the evacuation routes for Hurricane Rita. One lady name Sheila, 78 yrs old, says people need to get rid of the complacent attitude that elected officials always tell the truth and she remembers Bill White on the news saying he is trying to get slick Rick to okay the contra flow lanes out of Houston (he did after 4pm when the traffic was already backed up along with our regular traffic.

This race is MUCH closer than the numbers reflect, there are even signs in Tyler for White so ole slick is pulling out all his tricks but White is coming RIGHT back at him using his on press conferences against him.

I think we can and will pull it out.

LET'S GO TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!
