O'Donnell wants Foreign Relations seat
By Darren Goode - 10/09/10 12:52 PM ET

“Perhaps as a U.S. Senator sitting on the Foreign Relations Committee, I will,” she added. “That’s what … I would love that.”

She said there are also those who think Iran is “making threats that aren’t backed up.” She referenced the foreign policy of former President Ronald Reagan. “His foreign policy was summed up in four words – We win, they lose,” she said. “And he did that by not backing down, by not compromising, by strengthening our military and making it once again that the threat of military action, U.S. military action, had some teeth to it. Right now, it doesn’t, and that’s tragic.”

O’Donnell said the key to dealing with Iran is improving relations with Israel. “I don’t believe that this administration has been as friendly and supportive to Israel as America could be and as America should be,” she said. President Obama, she said, has “scolded” Israel over the country’s openness to a pre-emptive strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities amid Iranian threats to both Israel and the U.S.

“You don’t scold one of our allies for doing what they need to do in their own national interest,” O’Donnell said.

She also said now may not be the right time to set up a timetable for withdrawing troops from Afghanistan because terrorists would see that as a sign of weakness. “We have to make our foreign policy decisions based on effectiveness, not on a timetable,” O’Donnell said. “So if we withdraw now just because they're bullying us even harder, think of the consequences on what that will do to our own forces back here. The best offense -- or the best defense is a strong offense. So we have to strengthen our U.S. military once again.”

6. Between her and that guy who dresses up as a Nazi German officer,
I feel like I'm in some kind of political bizarro world. Like when Google takes you to a weird website instead of the one you wanted...and there you are...in the olden days we'd have maybe one crazy or a crazed drunk like Joe McCarthy, but everyone else would be dull, but pretty normal.

Talk about Brave New World...you have to be brave to stand it...

10. I wonder if that "Italian" O'Donnell would vote with her Pro-Rape republican senators
to allow that slimy Halliburton/KBR outfit to rape their female employees without threat of prosecution. Inquiring minds want to know what makes this dipstick tick. She's a few fries short of a Happy Meal, and seems proud of it.

13. How about the Council on Foreign Relations?
I bet they're warming up a seat for her right now. Along with the nice seat that FOX News has already purchased for her.
