2. Who cares? He isn't on the ballot! Stop with the polls and GOTV for those that need the help! |
This is a critical election.

6. Agree, but his rising numbers could help in those elections, too -- |
"hmmmm.... maybe the Dems AREN'T so bad after all."
Plus, it's just nice to know that after all the beatings he's taken, things are looking better. :)

7. THat isn't knowable. All we can do is GOTV. Polls are meaningless |
except as voter suppression. Good numbers breed overconfidence and bad numbers depression, non candidate numbers mean nothing. We cannot make the President the issue. The GOP is trying to run against him in this mid cycle.

8. Regardless, this is the Presidential forum of a political discussion board... |
...and if you are sincerely bothered by people discussing Presidential approval numbers in such a venue as that, then maybe you should take a break from the Internet for awhile.

10. I bet Dems. in CONGRESS care! When his popularity is down, they run from him. |
When it's up, they embrace him and are more likely to run on continuing his policies.

13. Can i get your promise that if Dems lose next month, as expected, you will |
stick to "he was not on the ballot" memo?
But i agree with the rest of your post, this is a VERY critical election and we need to everything we can to win.

16. Dunno. If the GOPare successful in "putting him on the ballot" |
it could cost us. The GOP are running against The President in almost every ad they air in my state. The candidates are fighting to stick to the issues. Just take a look at Ben Quales "Obama is the worst president ever ad". Not a word about his opponent( who has never served in Congress) or the issues.

14. A lot. The more popular the Dem. president is, the more Dems. running in '10 will |
tout Obama's accomplishments rather than running from him/them.

19. This is what Dow 11,000 will do for ya |
The higher the Dow goes, the better off we are. I swear there is a DIRECT correlation between the Dow and presidential politics. 2008 proves it.
