..the reason I'm voting isn't because Republicans have promised to keep kissing rich folk's ass and democrats haven't. Let's not insult anyone's intelligence by claiming that's not the case.

It's because that Democrats kiss the slightly more palatable upper part, while the Republicans get their mouths all up in the dirty bits. But let's not pretend that the democrats aren't firmly planted in the posterior region as well. There are a handful of exceptions (maybe 2 in the Senate and a dozen or so in the house), but speaking as a whole.
