4. I certainly wasn't going to Vote -- but Obama's Discovery of doing good for the Left has won me |

Although we are in campaign mode and so democrats are programmed to pretend to be progressive to win voters i can't help but appreciate Obama's new found love for the Left and his base by fighting for the people....its a nice feeling after watching his administration selling us out time and again for the past 2 years. Yes he's done some good for the people but he has also done a lot of bad..and yet with all the giveaways for the right he got nothing in return. And i like to think that his new almost progressive style is his realization of his errors and is willing to just say F the right and govern the way he should be. So with that, i think i might be going out to vote. I am still going to hold out for a few more weeks to watch things but so far i am liking what Obama has been doing. I just need to be sure he isnt doing this only to fake and go right again after November.

13. yeah.....i think we are talking about midterms here |
|
not 2012. you have plenty of time to decide wether to vote for the republican(obama) or to cast a indirect vote for a megarepublican.

...but I recently discovered that not one of them has ever voted in the mid-terms. I find that astounding, but... they ARE voting this time. I kinda gently nagged. :)

In fact, usually in my life there are at least a few overly jaded voters who skip or are on a Green voting spree, but not this time.

10. I did - my cubemate was resistant |

But I just downloaded the absentee application and made out an envelope for her and slid it over to her... and she said, I'm not doing that, I'm going to just go vote.
:woohoo: AHHHHHHHHHH! Triumph! I'm a happy camper now! I've been kinda working on her, but I doubt it was me... the radio station we listen to has been pushing GOTV for weeks now, every day, very strongly. It's a black station, so I'm hoping hoping hoping there are many more like her out there. Yay!
So now, the answer is NO (with a caveat: of those who DID vote in 2008, no).

The people I know up here are very motivated to vote. We have an exciting and unpredictable Senate race going on; a strong Democratic ticket for governor, hoping to rid that office of Sarah Palin's leftovers; and an excellent candidate for House. Everyone's talking politics here.
