Honestly, I'm almost to the point that I'm done campaigning in Delaware and may head up to Philadelphia and help get Joe Sestak elected. Clearly no one in the state is embracing O'Donnell as a serious candidate. I'll see how the debate turn out and what impact it might have on the polls. But if Coons is still ahead with a massive lead with the first polls after the debates then my work is better done elsehwere like in Pennsylvania for Joe Sestak.

DOVER, Del. -- The latest poll in Delaware's U.S. Senate race shows Democrat Chris Coons with a 19 percent lead over Republican Christine O'Donnell.

The Monmouth University Poll released Tuesday shows 57 percent of likely voters favoring Coons, compared to 38 percent for O'Donnell. The two candidates were virtually tied in two of the state's counties, but Coons had a huge lead in the third, which is heavily Democratic.

O'Donnell, a former TV commentator, rode a wave of tea party support to a surprise GOP primary win against longtime U.S. Rep. Mike Castle last month. Coons is the New Castle County executive.

The automated telephone poll of 790 likely voters was conducted from Oct. 8 to Oct. 11 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

1. 38% will vote for her??
That's scary in and of itself. That idiot has no place being anywhere near the Senate.

2. That 38% would vote for a dead raccoon rather than a Democrat.

8. Honestly, a few are probably independents, but most are
the diehard Bush* supporters (about 30-33%). Remember, Tea Party = Christian Coalition = Moral Majority = Silent Majority. They just change their names and follow the corporate/religious masters.

3. You just know O'Donnell doesn't want to win.
She's clearly itching for a spot as a Fox pundit.

7. DING DING DING DING!!!
When I saw the "I'm you" thing I'm like, damn she must have told them "I don't want to win but I want to audition for "I'm You With Christine O'Donnell" on FuxNews. All she's ever wanted to be is a teevee pundit and she kind of failed at it and is not using the electoral system to promote herself with the 29% that still think "Oh Bush was such a nice man."

4. she was TV commentator? what like Palin was a 'sports anchor'?
now I understand why Palin likes her so much and why ODonnell is trying so hard to emulate Palin.....they see themselves when they look at each other!
