Really she is absolutely crazy are people really crazy enough to vote for this creature? She is terrifyingly stupid.

Really, the US has people who want to elect Angle to the revising chamber of the United States of America?

Wow.

3. I'm sorry, but Harry lost this one. Angel might be crazy, but she came across as competent,
alert and passionate. And no matter what we think of her, her passion came across as more compelling.

Harry stumbled, stuttered, and in my view, simply didn't come across as confident at all. :(

5. She came out as a passionate nut.
Now I know her supporters like the nutty bit but really, are Americans that crazy?

7. Apparently in Nevada. She's leading, ain't she? It's so depressing...
...the systematic dumbing down of America continues in full effect!!

11. But, it was HE who had to knock it out of the park and he didn't!
We know what to expect from her. The expectations for the tea baggers are so low that if they even come across as being passionate and competent, they win!!

That's what is so depressing.

The standards are doubly high for Democrats and very, very low for Republicans/teabaggers/nutbags.

13. To us? Yes. But we'll see. I don't have that much confidence in the American people.
They seem to equate loudness and resolve with "being right."

I just hope and pray that I am wrong and you are right.

17. Neither has been ahead more then 3 points for months, Reid is ahead in 2/3 of the last polls
I think it's still a bit murky who has a lead, what's been consistent for months here is that it's a tight race.

I saw a story a week or two ago that democrats are worried that Angle is surging lately, but it's not reflected in any of the polls I've seen. Reid has lead in 2 of the last 3 polls done, by 2 and 3 points respectfully (I think Angle led by 2 in the other one, but I'm not 100% certain).

Also Nate Silver gives Reid a 47% chance of victory at the moment based on his numbers analysis of polls & history.

24. Competent? I though she can across as confused and not able to follow her train of through all the
way through. She looked nervous and it was difficult watching her trying to remember her rehearsed talking points. Reid can across as Reid always does-he is a low keyed guy. He knows his stuff, but I think if he would have gone after her it would have gained her sympathy support.

16. Josh Marshall
Josh Marshall:

9:43 PM: TPM Reader JB writes in: "The tough part for Reid is refuting Angle's falsehoods without sounding unbelievable himself or, worse, like a condescending bully." Yep.

9:45 PM: I wonder if this claim about Ashjian is going to hurt her. Promising him special favors to get out of the race? That's the same access as every voter will have? Not sure about that.

9:49 PM: I get that I'm becoming a broken record on this one. But God, just lie after lie. The whole point of the HCR bill is that you can buy from multiple vendors. Ugh. You sort of have to have heard Angle's response. But classic up-is-downism.

9:53 PM: Economy is doing so poorly because of looming threat of non-extension of Bush tax cuts. Genius.

9:55 PM: I thought Reid was joking when he said he needed to pull his notes and paper together to give his final statement. I guess not.

9:58 PM: And that's all she wrote. On first blush, looking at comments on Twitter and reader emails, I think Reid did a bit better than people are giving him credit for. Angle simply ignored most of the point where she was asked about various false statements. But in general I don't get the sense that anything that happened in this debate was really enough to change the dynamics of the race. If you don't already get that Angle is nuts, I don't think there was anything is this debate that was going to convince. Reid showed he understands the issues and has realistic responses. But again, if that mattered to you, you'd already be voting him. The fact that both candidates speak English as a second language only made things a bit more painful.
