Politico goes all out to shill for Republicans

Barack Obama in 2010 on the path of John McCain 2008?

By JONATHAN MARTIN & BEN SMITH

President Barack Obama and his team have seen this movie before.

On the wrong side of public opinion, the campaign reaches for something, anything, to steer the debate away from the issue at hand: the voters' desire for a different direction.

Unable to change the conversation, the mood turns sour. Rival camps start pointing fingers, looking for scapegoats. The man at the top comes out smaller, diminished.

This time, though, it's Obama who is living the nightmare.

<...>

Now, it's the GOP with the bumper sticker slogan, Jobs and Spending, who are the beneficiaries of the electorate's lingering economic anxieties and their anger toward the political establishment.

"Republicans have become the change we've been waiting for," quipped Mark McKinnon, a former adviser to McCain and President George W. Bush.

more

What these assholes at Politico don't seem to understand is that buying elections is not cool, Americans abhor the idea and the Chamber of Commerce and Republicans are responsible for the economic mess.

2. LOL - they claim criticism of the chamber and Rove is equivalent to McCain's "Bill Ayers" BS
"It's a direct line from dark warnings about Tony Rezko and Bill Ayers to dark warnings about Karl Rove and purportedly foreign-funded attack ads. "

This is pretty much an OPINION piece - tells you a lot about POLITICO that they put this in the NEWS section rather than OPINION where it belongs.

3. They should be banned from DU, along with WSJ, NY Post,
Moonie Times, Fox "news", CNBC.

If you self-loathing Dems feel you have to read this crap, keep it to yourselves. Some of us abhor this shit and resent you spreading it around

9. Melodramatic much?
I think it's the Repukes here showing desparation...they never expected the Dems to draw back the curtain and expose the corporate masters to public attention.
