It’s just past 2:00 p.m. on the East Coast, and our counter shows that we passed 320,000 calls made and doors knocked today. It’s great progress—and we’ll keep going strong all day long until 9:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Here on the HQ blog, there’s been a
lively discussion about the calls folks are making today, with updates from their conversations.Zhana in Georgia shared that she doesn’t usually like making calls, but she wrote that she was “tired of watching everyone else bring back their good reports” from calling, so she sat down to make a few calls herself. She talked with a man in Georgia who was excited to be voting for Democrats this November, and was encouraging everyone he knew to vote. “That felt good," she said. "I will call someone else.”
Others encouraged Zhana to keep it up. LaShanda in Maryland told her, “My first few I was a little tongue-tied, haven't done this in two years. But after that, I was running through like it was 2008 all over again.”
There's no better way to make an impact on the November elections than by talking with voters. When you get through to someone, remind them to vote, and make sure they get out this year.If you’ve already started, keep making calls here—or join in and get going to help reach our one million goal for today.
