Anyone visit their local Chamber of Commerce's Website lately? Maybe you should....
I just went to mine (to get their email address), and looky what I found...

Phoenix Forum Featuring Karl Rove:
Where Does America Go from Here?
Register Now
Date: 11/9/2010
Time: 11:30 AM TO 1:30 PM
Event Description:

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Oh - and look at who is on this month's magazine cover...Doesn't she look so purdy next to where it says "Election 2010"?
Inside, they interview her about what this election means for bringing small business to Arizona....yes, they interview the very woman that drives business AWAY from our state. The chamber must like those private prisons so they want Jan to win!
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
And you can find a video of Chuck Bassett who is in public relations for Arizona Blue Cross / Blue Shield discuss the Obama Healthcare Bill...
who must've gotten his degree in cya! He talks about how much this Extreme Bill is going to cost businesses over and over...then stops to say how it will help people...then goes right back into his spiel of how Drastic this bill is and how much it will cost...and then says something positive...but the bottom line is how horrible the costs will be. I hope Chuck has a good doctor who can figure out how he can talk out of his ass, he's definitely in the advanced stages.
Oh - there were other videos on their site that I couldn't stomach to watch. There's only so much propaganda I can handle this late at nite.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I don't know what else I would find on their site if I lingered a little bit longer - but what I did see, they are a political machine - they are trying to shape the political debate when it comes to businesses... No wonder why they are dropping buckets of money into tight races.

I think we have received a wake up call & just maybe we need to join together and "Acorn" them....or at least expose them. It's more than the money, they are damaging progress in this country...they are framing the message when it comes to businesses - keeping them from supporting our President and moving our country forward. I look at what is posted on their websites and think it's no wonder why we are in a jobless recovery.

Curious to hear back from my fellow DUers what they find on their local Chamber Websites....

2. Most Chambers are evil
and fight against everything Democrats stand for.

4. It's time they are exposed. Maybe we can get someone to dress up like a pimp
and a prostitute and talk to them about starting up a new business ;) - of course, it would have to be privatized.

7. Great investigative work Jillan!

I'm going to check out the Chambers in nearby towns. We don't have one in our little town. I'll check
back if I find anything interesting.

9. Local Chambers are a real mixed bag. Some have severed ties with the national group and are, if not
progressive, at least not conservative either. Good suggestion about getting involved with them. We all should get involved with the local branches and try to influence them.
