NY Times Poll--NY Senate--Gillibrand (D) 50% DioGuardi (R) 25%
Ms. Gillibrand, who was appointed last year to fill the seat vacated by Hillary Rodham Clinton, is supported by 50 percent of likely voters, while 25 percent back Mr. DioGuardi, an accountant and former congressman from Westchester County. Nineteen percent of likely voters remain undecided.

The poll found that Ms. Gillibrand, who is advertising heavily, has improved her standing since she entered the Senate.

2. Love her. She has run a smart campaign. Not putting forth a lot of ads as to
become annoying but just right to give voters a reminder that she is there and running and competent. No mistakes so far.

3. Ouch! On A Side Note, Gillibrand Has Turned Out To Be A Terrific Senator
I remember when she was appointed there was a lot of concern that she would be too conservative since as a congresswoman she had to run conservative to fit her district.

I believe she has dispelled those notions.

4. If the other 25% sit it out perhaps some congress critters will do better.
