Brown TV ad ties Whitman to Schwarzenegger
Democrat Jerry Brown says his rival for governor sounds a lot like Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger — a comparison Republican candidate Meg Whitman says is true, but only to a point.

She says Brown's ad fails to acknowledge their different backgrounds — his as an actor, hers as an experienced businesswoman.

A statewide ad that began airing Tuesday shows footage of Whitman and Schwarzenegger making similar comments about their business experience, independence and leadership styles.

---

Whitman told reporters in Oakland on Tuesday that Schwarzenegger "missed a lot of key things" because he was primarily an actor and investor.

2. I'm telling ya, Jerry has won more elections than Whitman has voted in.
I've been watching him most of my adult life.

4. I distinctly remember she praised her own
investor experience in one of the debates. It's just when she said there is a difference when her chairman, Pete Wilson, called Congress whores to the unions but Brown's staffer saying it is very different. Please, Meg. We're not idiots.

5. She can praise her own investment experience
but when she has control of other peoples money her experience is awful.

Paypal was an eminently sensible purchase for Ebay. Skype was not. She used $2.6 billion of ebay stockholder money to billions for a free of charge peer to peer phone service that was popular because it was free.

Not only did she waste all that money, money that could have been better used on a distribution network, as Amazon now has, her brilliant "Investor" mind failed to purchase the intellectual property that made skype work. In essence her clever purchasing investment was to buy $2.6 billion of skype call credit.

So bad was that purchasing decision Ebay had to cough up even more money to Skype AND reduce their shareholding.
