Obama still not qualified for presidency, Sen. Grassley says

President Obama is still not qualified to occupy the oval office, a top Republican senator said on Tuesday.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (Iowa) believes that Obama is "not quite ready to be president," citing his dealing with foreign leaders in national security issues.

“I imagine he’s darned intelligent, but I think he’s in over his head,” Grassley told the editorial board of the Quad City Times. “He’s just not quite ready to be president. But he is president, so you don’t worry about that.”

Obama's qualifications, or according to Republicans lack thereof, were a major issue on the campaign trail in 2008. Grassley, the ranking member of the finance committee and a three-decade Senate veteran, revived the issue as Democrats face a tough political environment for the midterm elections.
