In the movie DEATH BECOMES HERE Isabella Rosselini gives Meryl Streep a youth potion which she downs. Rosselini then says, "Now a warning..." Streep spits, "NOW a warning?"

That was what went through my head--a comical thought, not sincere shock--looking at the current front page at Talking Points Memo (a very responsible Dem-favoring site not usually given to the tabloid treatment)...

Will Health Reform Plan For 2013 Hurt Dems In 2010?

Many Key Reforms Wouldn't Kick In For Years ... Dem Consultant: 'It's A Huge Problem' ... Could Dems Lose Majority In '10? ... And Lose Reforms Before They're Enacted?

4. Yup... unless the public is invested in it any reform is temporary

2. People see the rapidity of the "solutions" for big business and banks.
This is not lost on the average person. The "paymaster" is mulling over the situation of half a dozen AIG employees that are pissy about money. These things are taken care of rapidly. The anger of seeing this and then being told to wait for their help is not a good thing and will probably come back to haunt us in more ways than one.

3. Two of the better actresses going.
I have a bit of a crush on Rosselini....to say the least.

Oh yeah, your post is interesting too! ;)

5. Let's worry about getting the bill passed first
When Social Security was passed it orginally was supposed to take 7 years implement, but that was later reduced to 5 years. We can worry about moving up the timeline later.
