4. Hopefully he's not running this ad because the lunatic has closed
in the polls a bit. I haven't seen any recent polling, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's no longer up by 19 points. She did at least manage to string together some coherent sentences in that nationally televised debate last week. That may have been all it would take for some republicans to jump back into her column. Sad but that's the reality. Hopefully her latest flub concerning the separation of church and state is enough to keep her from gaining any momentum in these last days of the campaign. Sorry to sound a bit negative, but I simply don't trust the judgment of a large segment of the voting population these days.

This debate?

Coons is still up 18 to 20 points.

6. No, I was referring to the one televised by CNN last week.
I believe it was their first debate of the campaign. Don't get me wrong, she wasn't impressive at all. She basically just repeated a bunch of republican talking-points/sound-bites; but the bar for her was set so low that she didn't need to do much to come across as at least "sane." That might be enough for some republican-types. But I'm glad she's still way down in the polls. Thank god it's Delaware and not some southern state. She might actually get elected in this wacky election year if she were running in a more politically conservative state.

14. The first debate where she informed us we were fighting the Soviets in Afghanistan?
Edited on Sat Oct-23-10 12:06 PM by Brother Buzz
Or the second debate where she really thought she had 'gotcha' moment with that separation of church and state hokum and got schooled by Coons? Or the third debate where she could not name ONE Democrat across the isle?

She FAILED all three and then cries because the GOP won't cut loose any money for her campaign.

The last question remains; Will Palin visit the state and try and bolster her numbers as her campaign circles the drain?

9. You must have missed her latest about naming a sitting Dem Senator she'd
be willing to work with across the aisle. She said Hillary Clinton after quite a pause and saying that "Well, she wasn't a Senator anymore" but that on the foreign relations committee she be working with her. Then when Coons started answering, and called her on not naming a sitting Dem Senator, she blurted out Joe Lieberman (who's an independent). There was one person, whether it was on DU or an actual news report, that said she blurted it out like she had Tourette's Syndrome. It didn't go unnoticed that she only truly answered one question from the whole debate. I think this was the WHYY debate.

11. O.K., but why does he have to run to the RIGHT? I just think it's sad when Dems
start sounded like Republicans. So sad...

He's leading a race by nearly 20 points. I'm not at this point concerned about the nuances of his position.

I'm still laughing at the mouse.

13. Sure, I'm glad he's winning. I just feel that Democrats are conceding Republican principles
as being the right principles and running campaigns like a traditional Republican used to.

But I do get your point. As long as he's not anti-choice and really cares about the economy, I'll suck it up...
