2. I've thought that all along. That Calif. "B" who's been running
for a LONG TIME and put in multimillions of her own $$ in ads has to be getting really tired junk on TV. I hope I'm not alone on this. Too many ads for the same shite turn people OFF!

6. I know one thing if I could get near Ron Johnson from WI
I would try to hell to give him a sack of sh*t. I live in MN and we are bombarded by his family values and his crap about the deficit that Russ Feingold personally run up.

I want to know how he can justify Bush's war and the lack of revenue from the tax cuts to the rich, which is over half the deficit we have now. If I can get close enough in time I just mute the TV.

7. I know the feeling.
I live in SC, and I get bombarded by ads from GA. Same shit, different assholes. If I have the TV on, I keep it on PBS. No commercials, infinitely better programing. The sad thing is, around here, it wouldn't matter if people got sick of being bombarded by their commercials. They'll still vote only for the candidate with the "R" after his or her name, no matter how sick they are of that candidate's commercials.

9. the current orgy of corporate campaign donations
was predictable. But, in their glee, with their mindless exuberance, they forgot about the audience.

There are several ads which strike people like, "Cute, I liked this," the first time that you see it. The second time, not so much. Finally, after the 34th time, not only do you know the jingle by heart, know the words, and know the message inside and out, every time you hear the ad, your teeth begin to grind like a diesel truck's gears.

The problem is that next time, knowing that they have such resources at their command, they will have fixed this problem and will run a far more polished campaign. This time, their overindulgence will hurt them. Next time, it will really hurt us.

10. Hope so! It seems to be proving out in California.
meg, meg, meg, meg, meg. Around the clock! We're sick of her, and proving it. She continues to fall behind.

Give it up, Ms. Couldn't-Afford-To-Hire-Citizens-At-Decent-Wages-To-Work-In-Her-Home-Even-With-All-Those-Millions...

She will become the poster child for obscene republi-CON spending that didn't amount to squat. And we can throw back at them how truly abysmal they are with their money, which is why they do NOT deserve to control ours.

16. YESSSS! We had such a good time working on that video! That's how I spent my Mother's Day!
Thanks so much for checking them out! Glad you liked 'em!

It's been a REALLY nice, and most welcome, escape for me from the campaign madness. Forces me to obsess on something else much more satisfying - and the better they do, the more we'll be hearing about environmental activism, support for the poor, cancer research, and animal welfare.

They just performed at a local Halloween Town Fair last night. Their pay included four boxes of extra pizzas! They brought 'em home, ate, and then my son and his bass player took one and drove off to give it to a homeless person. Probably went to Santa Monica where there are, sadly, far too many in evidence. They weren't gone long.

MIGHTY PROUD, I am!

19. Political ads on TV
I don't think the TV ads are as effective this election as in the past because people don't watch TV the same way that they used to. We hardly notice the political ads because we DVR the programs we want to watch and zoom through the commercials at high speed without watching them. Everyone I know does this. If I miss a show on TV, I catch it on Hulu.com and there are no political ads there that I've seen. I think money put into advertising is a waste. FWIW, I live rural and watch TV on a dish as does everyone who lives outside the range of cable.
