2. A simple phone call to CNN (even just leaving a message)..... |
|
if made by enough of us, will work wonders........
They are very bold now, because we are allowing it, but turning the television off in disgust, as though that stops what is said from being said... when it doesn't.

3. YES! Tell the media to only release poll numbers with Democrats ahead! |
|
It is outrageous that I must sometimes see poll results that I do not like! Let me stay in my bubble!!1!

6. Pundits have been predicting a Republican rout of the elections |
|
Edited on Sat Oct-23-10 02:30 PM by FrenchieCat
for the past 16 months non-stop.
The question is which came first? the poll results, or the prediction of the results of this election?
You may enjoy being manipulated by Punditry, but some people's lives are depending on pundits being fought against tooth and nails....
of course, for those living in a bubble, who don't really care what the pundits say..... and or don't really give a shit that the election outcomes have been molded by our media, for those folks, I ask that they avoid this thread, as it may annoy them.....and rather than post snark, they are better off simply been overjoyed that the media is able to so easily influence our politics, and that there is little to be done to stop them.
However, for those of us front line soldiers, who are willing to fight understanding that if we don't, no one else will, we understand that even ONE little phone call, leaving a message, if multiplied, may indeed make a dent.
So that's who I am speaking to.....the true Front line soldiers, who in the end, really do give a fuck!

7. You are right. It was about 16 months ago |
|
that the http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/generic_congressional_vote-901.html#polls">generic ballot starting moving in the Republicans favor after Democrats had held mostly unbroken commanding leads on that measure since the months before the 2006 midterm election. But I don't know what you hope to gain by asking media to stop reporting polling numbers that you do not like.

8. If you don't see the "selectiveness" as to which poll numbers are touted, |
|
than I cannot help you see what we have to gain by putting up resistance to pure propaganda.

10. You are missing the premise of the OP |
|
Please note "faulty polls"
She is not arguing against reporting polls, she is arguing against reporting using faulty polls.
If you disagree with her OP then feel free to contradict her statement, as opposed to trying to argue against something she never stated.
