Please put "Obama" in the DU dictionary
is this frustrating for anyone else when using the spell check?

1. It is weird that they still don't have that in there.
After all, he been in office for almost two years and was a presidential candidate for a year before that.

2. Angie, does your browser have a spellchecker feature?
That may be the problem. Try highlighting 'Obama', then right-click on it. If you see an option to 'add word to dictionary', click on that.

10. Um yeah it would matter.
Adding a word to a local dictionary will not put it into DU's spell check.

I think spell check is built into FireFox. I haven't used DU's spell checker in a long time.

3. Spellcheck for my medical transcription would offer suggestions like "Oldsmobile"
or something equally random.

It's always fun to see what it comes up with!

And not just on DU. Seems like being president should get you into the spell checks of the intertubes. LOL

It does not recognize "Obama's" however.
