OK, so a second set of polls show Frank clearly ahead (even though the race is much closer than the usual 40 points we are used to), and that Keating is somewhat ahead. This is what the media want us to believe is a close race.

However, a lot of people remain undecided. Other good news for Keating, independents, who heavily trended towards Brown in January, are roughly split between Keating and Perry, the poll shows.

1. The poll in the 10th district - though the numbers are getting better - is troublesome
There always has been a bias in opinion polling for people to not express what could seem to the person asking a "wrong answer". Here, it could be that the reason there are still so many undecided is that people might not want to say they are voting for this sleazy guy. On the other hand, it could be people still trying to decide, who may not vote. It is good that Keating is doing better among the Independents than Brown.

I wonder if Keating will put out a really positive ad on himself - given that Perry's problems are getting ample coverage all on their own. It would seem that, if the comment that he stood up to Billy Bolger are true, he is very much the real independent in this race (something Perry isn't) -as Brown billed himself in his.

2. those numbers are very sobering
In recent years, the 4th and 10th districts have been solidly blue. Delahunt routinely picked up over 65 percent of the vote, or ran opposed. Same for Frank. That Keating (who is running to fill Delahunt's seat cant' crack 40 percent at this point is unsettling). And for Barney to be polling below 50 is also troubling. I expect Barney to win and hope Keating pulls it out. But if these are the kinds of numbers we are seeing in traditionally "safe" districts, there undoubtedly are a lot of districts where things are not good for us unless we can turn around a lot of undecided voters in the last week.

3. I don't understand why this country is so down on the Dems
They have been trying and working like hell while the GOP has been obstructing everything. Don't people remember what the Dems inherited? or else a lot of these polls are just screwy this year.

4. I live in the 10th, and hear nothing from Keating
Perry, on the other hand, is to the point of being sickening with his ad blitz.

What's up, Bill? You'd better get down here an show us what you stand for.

6. I noticed too. We see anti-Keating ads, but, while Tierney, Tsongas and Frank are on the air,
