Cheney makes big 2010 prediction

(CNN) - As President Barack Obama nears one year in office, Dick Cheney is predicting the Republican Party is in for a big 2010.

"I think we'll pick up a lot of seats," the former vice president told Fox New's Sean Hannity Tuesday. "Prospects for the Republicans in 2010 are very good."

Next November, all 435 seats in the House and more than a third in the Senate are up for grabs. Democrats will be defending their 258-177 margin in the House and 20-seat advantage in the Senate.

2. What I can't understand
is, if this piece of garbage was so good as statistics, predictions, rationalizations, how come he was the most involved in screwing the heck out of this country. Every single thing he and bush did was 100% wrong from the invasion of an innocent country, to the loosing of millions of jobs. Some person please explain this to me.

Proof that the M$M has an agenda. Why would they so continually cover and publicize the rantings of this maniac? They know hardly anyone likes him or wants his input.

27. He does not know what is coming
His record of failure is nearly unbroken, but then this makes him a fairly typical republican. The economy will turn the corner, it is even now. People will be going back to work. They predict doom and gloom because they believe government intervention in the economy cannot work.

If the election were held tomorrow, republicans might fare pretty well. 10 months from now, not so much. 3 months from now, probably not so good for them either. Any sustained good news on the economy will be enough. Given the length of time in play, their only hope is a double dip recession.

35. And your explanation is why ALL except maybe one or two
Repugs are supporting any bills that are presented. They want to try to stop anything positive for the American people and if they fail then the Repugs can come back and say the Dems didn't pass anything or do anything.

It's really that simple.

the man is still reeling from the incredible defeat of the GOP which was, in a good part, of his making.

I think the GOP is in complete meltdown, and might not even exist in 2010...:D

37. I don't think Cheney is at all creditable about massive losses
But I do think the Democrats could be in trouble. Will the lose the majority in the House or Senate? I think it's unlikely. Will it be close? It could be in the House. I think we will have less then 60 in the Senate, which means we'll lose some there too (I mean did we really ever have 60 in theory anyway? Lieberman, need I say more?). If we are lucky, we'll keep both majorities and somehow figure out how to continue to get stuff passed. It's not going to get easier though.
