Iowa Early Voting Results as of 10/27/10

Democratic absentee ballots requested 158,286. Democratic ballots received 114,193 for a 72.1% return rate.

Republican absentee ballots requested 129,316. Republican ballots received 97,398 for a 75.3% return rate.

No Party Absentee ballots requested 67,288. No Party Absentee ballots received 43,037 for a 63.9% return rate.

Democrats lead absentee ballots requested by 44.5-36.4 percent over the GOP.

Among the ballots actually returned:

Dem: 114,193 44.8%
GOP: 97,398 38.2%
N/P: 43,037 16.8%

... visiting friends and seeing an unfortunate loss by the Hawks to the Badgers too. Got my mail in vote in for Oregon mailed in last week before I came. Maybe I can bump in to one or two DUers like you here downtown some place. Heading out there a little later to do some shopping today.
