And it's all negative. I've been getting 1 a day and now 4 different ones. And nobody in my house is a republican. They're a machine.

2. They always do this.

During the 2008 election, they were sending out propaganda DVDs.

It's not the mail, it's the media and stupidity.

3. Until they start counting ballots, no one is winning.
Mailings do not get counted on Tuesday. And just on a basic level, claiming some one is winning a race when the runners are not yet at their marks is, if nothing else, overly strong language. In that way of speaking, holding a lottery ticket is called winning, until they draw other numbers.

4. I have thrown them all in an envelope, and will dump it at the
Republican headquarters in my area with a note to put them where the sun don't shine. Let them fill up their trash bins and not mine.

6. I got several pieces (slick, 4 page deals)
of negative Republican shit aimed against our very popular (and powerful) state senator, Senator Basnight (a Democrat). I also received a piece of Republican shit mail aimed at some guy I've never heard of - some state senator (I think it was) from a district far from mine. They are definitely spending some money.

One note though - my office happens to be in a building that houses one of my county's early voting sites. The 'baggers have had someone out front every single day of early voting. A couple of days ago, someone came into my office and she said "I told those guys out front that I usually vote Republican but this year I'm voting straight Democratic because of the lies the Republican party has been telling about Senator Basnight." I just hope it all back fires on them.

11. The Republicans around here have been so nasty
that the staunchly Republican old lady I'm an aide for, who was planning to vote straight line Republican, found that there were a few that she simply couldn't bring herself to vote for and voted the Dem instead. :bounce:

She specifically mentioned "that aweful woman" who kept leaving abortion messages on her answering machine (Buerkle) and "that crook" running for Governor (Paladino).

So maybe the negative stuff is backfiring?

14. I used to do that, but my spouse is so paranoid now
that I don't. Spouse is listening to too much MSM, and says these right wingers are dangerous. Seriously, spouse is worried they will track me down.

But yeah. ONLY negative against the dems. NO IDEAS of their own are espoused in these mailings.

15. Most people throw that stuff away. I will admit to barely looking at any of the political stuff I
got in the mail this week, Dems and Repubs. I am just too damn busy with a 5 and 6 year old and going back to college.
