Charlie Crist's Campaign is Behind this Whole Story |
|
Edited on Thu Oct-28-10 09:10 PM by PopSixSquish
According to the WaPo, they called Clinton to ask if the "Big Dawg" would intercede with Meek. And I gurantee that they were the leaks to Politico and other news sources trying to force Meek's decision.
So what do the Du'ers who are advocating voting for him have to say now? Charlie Crist CANNOT BE TRUSTED. He may dress himself up as a "moderate" but his only concern is what is good for Charlie Crist.
I will laugh my ass off the first time he screws the Democrats or President Obama on something if he's elected...

4. No the Solution Would Have Been to Not Take Anything for Granted |
|
Everyone assumed that Crist was unbeatable and therefore didn't even try. Posters on this board work themselves up into a righteous swivert on a near daily basis about weak Democrats and that the party has abandoned the "50 State Strategy". Well this race shouldn't have been disregarded and the moment Crist was teabagged, it should have been all hands on deck in Florida.
A two front strategy early on would have forced Crist to defend himself from both the left and the right and that would have driven his numbers down.
Be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it...

Charlie Crist stood on the stage next to Sarah Palin and said that she was qualified to be President. And now he wants Florida Democrats to vote for him?
Oh hell no...

And some Democrats have no problem supporting him.
I voted for Meek but I want to know why it's acceptable to oppose a Democrat in Rhode Island but not acceptable in Florida.

7. Crist told Greta that he was behind asking Clinton |
|
to convince Meek to drop out. And that Meek had agreed to Clinton. But Meek said he agreed to no such thing to anybody including Clinton
So you may be right, Crist is behind this story.

8. Your quite right, Crist is a disgusting toad.. |
|
But I still wish Meek would drop out.
I think it's just that important to keep Rubio out of the Senate.
Sometimes you just don't get to vote for who you really like, you have to look at political realities and vote for a lesser of 2 evils.
Crist will never be a serious threat as a Republican presidential candidate, Rubio probably will be.
It's entirely unfair, and probably too late - but Meek is in 3rd place and just has no chance to win this race and our only chance to beat Rubio is if Meek drops out.

11. Rubio might charm Florida, but he is not Presidential fodder |
|
He looks smarmy to the rest of the nation. More than Crist, even. The whole fear of Rubio is just a Florida thing. He's disgusting. He couldn't sell cars out west. And that is the fact of the matter.

16. I just read a story where Meek is quoted as saying the request from Clinton wasn't 'serious', so it |
|
apparently did happen according the multiple comments I read from Meek in the story.
I believe it definitely happened, because Crist told Clinton he'd support Obama's agenda over the GOP's if Meek backed him, as Crist's policies are much more moderate than the fascist's!

Who thinks otherwise? For that matter, who trusts him? Nobody here trusts him. If I still lived in Florida, I'd have already voted for Meek. But I understand what people are thinking. They are thinking that it is better to have somebody you can't trust than it is to have someone you know will actively try to hurt you.
But, it doesn't matter now. The Governor's race is more important anyway. All efforts should be focused on that.

If not, your title is misleading. How do you know that Rubio's campaign didn't put this out? Or that the media invented it? You should change your title. And you'll laugh your ass off at "the Democrats"?
