New Mason-Dixon Poll--NV Senate: Angle (R): 49% Reid (D) 45%
(for about a month now Reid has been narrowly trailing Angle and the last couple of polls by about 4-points. Unbelievable that some of these wacky GOP candidates, Angle and Paul are well positioned to win--hopefully Harry's GOTV effort will work):

Positioned to pull off the biggest upset in the nation, GOP challenger Sharron Angle heads into Election Day leading Democratic incumbent Sen. Harry Reid by 4 percentage points, says a new poll for the Las Vegas Review-Journal and 8NewsNow.

The Mason-Dixon Polling & Research survey has Angle with 49 percent support compared with 45 percent for Reid in its first survey since the Tea Party favorite and the Senate majority leader held their only debate Oct. 14. The findings match two other post-debate polls in the race and show momentum for Angle, who two weeks ago edged out Reid, 47 percent to 45 percent, in the last Mason-Dixon survey

The latest statewide telephone poll of 625 Nevadans likely to vote on Election Day, taken Monday through Wednesday, has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.

The survey shows both Reid and Angle having most of their party bases, with the incumbent picking up 84 percent of Democrats and the GOP challenger 85 percent of Republicans. But Angle is winning the all-important independent voters by double digits, 55 percent to 38 percent, as Nevadans not aligned with either major political party swing her way as they settle on a choice

"Reid just can't get much above 45 percent, and she's carrying the independents," said Mason-Dixon pollster Brad Coker. "I haven't seen a poll showing him up since the debate. That might have been when things started to lock in. I think the odds are pretty good that Angle's going to win."

Most analysts still deem the Senate race too close to call; Reid is pulling out all the stops in a multi-million-dollar effort to get all his voters to the polls. He's using union supporters to help knock on doors and make phone calls. And he's counting on a string of big name Democrats, celebrities and sports stars -- from President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama to actor Kal Penn and boxer Manny Pacquiao -- to help drag the unpopular Reid across the finish line first.

1. Funny, when Reid's up by 4 points, it's in the margin of error
When Angle's up by 4 points, she has an upsetting lead.

What's up with that?

2. Ridiculous framing
"The biggest upset in the nation"? Seriously? Reid was absolutely a dead man walking until Angle got the nom, but even then, he's so reviled that she's barely ahead of him? The biggest upset in the nation?

Unbelievable spin.

5. She is a mentally ill bigoted troll who has avoided the media and nobody knows her positions
It is amazing that Nevada will vote based on Nazi-like bigotry alone. Makes me want to buy a machine gun.

6. Angle has been pushing the cheating meme
So I'm guessing her internals are showing something else, because otherwise, she wouldn't be doing that. I'm not writing this one off yet.

7. I actually know a nurse of all people
That voted for her. In fact she said she voted for Angle because she doesn't like the way Harry Reid looks down when he speaks and she's afraid of him. This is a woman that graduated from Northwestern University AND voted for Obama in 08. She HATES Obama right now and calls him a socialist and doesn't believe in people milking the system so she says. She believes everyone should work for what they have as IF people don't want to work. However I'm suppose to believe thats her stance all the while SHE doesn't work and sits back living the high life on all the alimony she gets from her X-husband that's enough to have her driving a Benz, living in a guard gated community with a few celebs with a house on a golf course. She has no problem living off her own personal welfare system known as her X but everyone else can suffer. I tried my best to convince her Angle is a nut bag and explain how unemployment will get worse here because Angle won't bring any money home for Nevada. Las Vegas has already become a joke but it's going to get worse.

I have gone door to door here and you wouldn't believe the stupidity. Angle actually has mobile advertising trucks driving around day and night. At night the side of the trucks look like jumbo flat screen TV's blasting Harry Reid and promoting her. I see more anti Reid stuff than pro Angle stuff. What gets me is I was told to go a lower economic area and you wouldn't believe how many people had old beat up cars in their yard with huge Angle signs. I just can't believe the ignorance around here. The democratic party seems to be lazy on its ass around here. Everyone involved is truly in it but I have to tell you if we had people even HALF as involved right now as people where in 08 for Obama here Harry would be wiping the floor with her. It's hard just to get volunteers.

I actually cried and that is what finally convinced my own mother and sister to get up off of their ass to vote and yet they ran to the polls for Obama. If Harry pulls this off it's going to be a miracle because for some reason he is being blamed for everything.

10. Sadly, this pheonmena is rampant in many parts of the country.
I've met all kinds of people with low-incomes who vote republican--if they vote at all. They're low-information voters who pay little attention to current events. But they're more than willing to embrace the sound-bites and negative advertising of the right-wing. You really have to wonder what the future holds for this country if people are still this ignorant.

12. Schumer

I commute between Washington DC and NYC on a regular basis. I often see Schumer and his entourage in the waiting area and on the plane. He is an unusually rude person especially to the flight attendants. You do not want him leading anything when us New Yorkers find him repulsive. 2012 is going to be tough, Schumer is dislikable the minute you meet him and he will not be an asset being out in front. Schumer is a strong back room force and that is where he needs to stay. A little bit of Chuck Schumer goes a loooong way!
