Anyone not think the Democratic base is not enthusiastic?
U think the muddled middle is not particularly happy with the Dems but I also think that they are scared of the nuts on the right.

To my think that translates into a lot more close races than we might otherwise hold onto. I think we hold both houses but I think it is going to be only small majorities which means nothing gets done for the the next two years. We are gonna get smacked on the governor's races those which is going to make the electoral math tougher in 2012

3. It's the bs polls that has some of us concerned
I think the media and the polls are tryihg for the herd mentality thing. Hey if we keep telling them their toast they won't bother to vote.

5. Two bits of news from Oregon today
One a poll that included cell phones that put Kitzhaber ahead by 8 in the Gov race. Predicted voter turnout 72%, the highest in a non Presidential election in OR since 1990. We vote by mail, so the turnout is already turning out, so Sec of State Kate Brown has a lot to base her estimate on.

13. Thanks, Blue! I was worried by that last poll
that had Dud up by two (small sample, though). I wonder if Prop 74 is boosting turnout. :smoke: Did you see the voter guide? Overwhelmingly in favor!

6. I am going to be honest: I am depressed
I think we are going to lose the House.

I think these morons are going to attempt to start impeachment proceedings. If people thought Obama didn't get anything done these first two years, he certainly won't get anything done with a House trying to impeach him.

I don't know if losing the House is going to help motivate people on the left who have been disappointed with him. They may continue to sit out the remainder of his administration.

And I'm concerned about how all of this is going to factor into 2012.

Those are my honest feelings and concerns. I hope I am wrong.

9. I would make calls, shovel cow manure anything
but, I'm hearing impaired and not quite in the best of shape right now - getting better but, not in time for this election. I donate a littel $ that's the best I can do now and I'm ok with that.

And they understand that they have a steaming Bush/Reagan shitpile to clean up.

They are smart, which REALLY pisses off the shrubbites.

21. We're not unenthusiastic, but the Republicans are super enthusiastic
They're more enthusiastic than we were in 2008. It's practically impossible to compete with that level of mania.
