4. I accidently left c-span on after Stuart's rally...
and Boehner followed speaking for some candidate.. I missed that part. Think it was Johnson maybe?

Heard at the end the name of the venue. It made me laugh.

7. Yes Boehner is supporting the candidate Johnson,
running against Charlie Wilson, my house rep. And you would laugh harder if you actually saw the Spread Eagle Tavern. It is in a little village not far from me, like on a crossroads and is just a tiny restaurant, where for some reason, Republicans congregate. The first time my daughter went there she was in high school. One of her friends parents took her out for dinner. She came home laughing and said, there are pictures of all these republicans all over the walls! (And she recognized them! Must have been big name republicans). I am thinking maybe even Bush went there once. I mean it is out in the boonies! The owner must be a big donor is all I can figure. I refuse to go in there.

6. The blurb says that it was "open to the public"
Edited on Sat Oct-30-10 03:51 PM by toddwv
I wonder how many people got arrested because they were invited...

While former President Bill Clinton will appear at a Democratic rally Saturday, there will also be a Republican rally.

House minority leader Rep. John Boehner will appear at 3 p.m. at the Spread Eagle Tavern in Hanoverton to stump for Congressional candidate Bill Johnson.

Johnson is running for the 6th District congressional seat against incumbent Charlie Wilson.

The event is open to the public.

11. Errrr Translation, please?
To me, Spread Eagle means either collapsing arms and legs outstretched or a purported Viking method of execution.
