Kucinich may be able to support Senate compromise
Here is Kucinich saying he may be able to support the Senate bill: starts at about 5:40

Jane Hamsher

No more fair weather friends....

I’ve been casting around for suggestions from people I trust about what kind of a platform we should ask Medicare for All candidates to agree upon. We want to avoid the problem we have right now — people like Anthony Weiner, or Charles Rangel — those who are cosponsors of H.R. 676 until it doesn’t matter. (I’m sure the $1.4 million Rangel has taken from insurance interests has nothing to do with it.)

<...>

Kucinich just became one of those "fair weather friends."

1. Disappointing to see them attacking Weiner like that.
Don't the writers of that article realize that if the Medicare expansion is a success that it could lead to a single-payer system? If single-payer can't pass yet, then why not support something that could lead to it down the line?

Though i never did in the first place.

But if he does, we'll be able to better separate out the Kucinich supporters (from some of whom I get a whiff of apostolic fervour) from the general malcontents, agitators, fringe-of-fringers and out and out trolls.

The OP, on the other hand, is exactly what she complains about in others, and made it a mission to attack DK any chance she could (all the while complaining about people making attacks). Maxine Waters just came out and said she wouldn't vote for this bill, but did Prosense start thread after thread about her? No. Will the OP show even half the honesty and integrity you are? I doubt it.

31. "DK does it you make post after post him." Why do you care
about what I do? Should I run my actions by you before I make them? I don't care what Maxine Waters' position is on this bill. She voted for the House bill. Still, I will start a thread about anyone I feel like. If that bothers you, too bad.

The OP is about Medicare for all, Weiner and Kucinich, and their position on the current Senate bill.

Now maybe you would like to discuss the OP instead of having a hissy fit because you don't like my choice of subjects.

37. LOL...you don't me very well, clearly. I have no crush on any politician, unlike you.
The idea is laughable, and has to be projection. I don't view a single one of them as a hero or a savior for the mess we find ourselves in...again, unlike you. I never have and I never will. Politicians get us into messes, not out. You could drop 95% of the people in D.C. in the ocean and I'd consider it a step in the right direction. I like DK more than many, and that's as far as it goes. He's far from perfect, and I actually prefer people like Sanders and Brown more.

Now maybe you would like to discuss the OP instead of having a hissy fit because you don't like my choice of subjects.

Ok, sure. I have no qualms with DK doing this. The hissy fits are yours, Prosense. You're the one who started thread after thread about him, correct?

advocates from the beginning.

Obama said all sides would be heard in the health care debate, but then we learned except for "Those little single payer advocates."

Did Kucinich make a deal with PhRMA for 80 billion instead of the 300 billion mentioned in his health care plan?

Carper defended the WH deal with PhRMA in the Finance Committee...

44. Interesting you should say that. Considering he supports the reimportation bill.
A bill which slaps Pharma in the face, big time. And delivers a nice measured kick or two to the gut. Or did you ignore that. He did make a deal with insurance companies that they would work together---and that's as far as it went. I don't know what else your implying with that. There's no way Obama can destroy the health insurance industry----which would never get pass Congress. Notice that I mention Congress since they would have to vote on any measure. You seem to enjoy way laying blame on Obama when in actuality this starts at a lower level than the President and it has always been the problem. You want it to be to be Obama. You want to project your anger a him---most likely because Bush ran rough shod over Congress and/or had their entire backing to do what he wants. So when Obama doesn't play the same way and wants to use the entire division of power---ie restoring the rule of law or the rule of governance more specifically---you just plain target him. He is President and overall the buck stops with him, as he's said. However, during the creation of policies and laws it's predominantly with Congress and in this case it's entirely with Congress. Projecting doesn't work here very well.

recepients, why are you ignoring that part of the Obama HC reform plan?

It almost sounds as if you believe Obama does not have much sway when it comes to HC reform, he could take his ideas to the people and have them pressure Congress.

It's frankly amazing that this was considered an acceptable alternative by moderates. It really does build a potential road to single-payer. The insurers, hospitals, big pharma etc are going to be up in arms.
