It amazes me that complainers about Obama are being labeled freepers and GOP plants.

Maybe there are some GOP trolls here. I would love to identify them and tombstone them. No problem with that!!! Please respond to this post if you want a GOP president in 2012 and I'll do all I can to see you tombstoned!

You need to look at the whole posting history of people here who complain about Obama before you label them as traitors. And I mean the posting history from 2008 during the campaign. I would say most people here complaining about Obama supported him in 2008! I know I did and I still have no doubt he was the best choice. I am disappointed about some of his decisions but overall 70% happy with him.

And I am 95% sure that I will support Obama in 2012. And I don't say 100% only because there are three years left to see what else happens.

And I am 100% sure that I will support a candidate that is NOT a republican!

Why can people not be disappointed in decisions that Obama made without not being labeled a GOP Troll? Are people so insecure about Obama that that need to attack every person who complains about him?

And turning on Ed Schultz, Michael Moore, Etc makes us look like idiots when we loved those people in 2008 when they were supporting Obama. You think Michael Moore wants a GOP president in 2012? Really? Then listen to his complaints about Obama and keep them in perspective.

I'll admit maybe my expectations were too high. The guy got me fired up in 2008 and I assumed he would roam through the halls of congress twisting arms and convincing people to end the war and convincing people to pass a strong public option. Maybe I was gullible. Maybe Washington does not work that way. But he convinced me Washington was broke. Maybe it still is because of the lobbies and special interests.

Obama is 100 times the president that Bush was or that McCain would have been. That does not mean that we need to be 100% happy with all of his decisions without being labeled a freeper!

1. A number say they won't support anyone who disagrees with them
that means they won't support Obama in 2012 or most dems which may throw the election to the repubs by default.

4. You forgot to add no accountability for the people who created the financial mess,
defending torturers, lack of concern for glbt issues, etc. There is a lot more to it the just Afghanistan. I would have to say I'm at a 55% support of oboma so far, that is likely to change one way or another depending on what his action are. I am willing to vote for him on his actions and not just give him my vote just because he has a D behind his name, the would be freeperish.

6. Ditto
Arctic Dave has something! It's more then just about Afghanistan or Iraq, there are other areas where it's obvious that the President has failed, or maybe changed his mind.

I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, and see what happens, but for now my support is at 50%-55%.

10. When all the posts are simply metacommentary on the goings-on at DU
It gets hard to provide new material. Give the OP a break. He or she seems incapable of commenting on policy or actual politics, so redundant superficial analyses of a message board might be the cap of his or her abilities. You should not mock the untalented.

11. Voting for Obama was not only logical but essential
After 8 years of Bush and faced with the possibility of a Palin-McCain presidency.

I haven't read anyone anywhere here making a claim to the contrary.

And yes, the same situation is likely to present itself in 20102.

If anyone or anything is undermining the chances of the Dems and Obama for re-election, I would suggest it is the current policies and related political behavior of the administration and the Dem congress.

They are the ones who are blowing this thing, by pissing off their core supporters, alienating the independent and young voters, and carrying on like a bunch of idiots.

Sorry, but it must be said.

12. Obama is certainly better than McCain
but there are some serious issues I have with Obama. What happens with health care reform will play a big role in 2012. As it is now, a lot of people are going to get screwed.

I certainly won't vote for the Republican candidate but I may stay home or vote for a third party candidate.

18. The latter two choices...
are tantamount to a vote for the Republican candidate - this is the lesson of 2000. That thinking got us 8 years of Bush. NEVER AGAIN.

19. My vote will not be taken for granted
If I get screwed by health care reform, which seems likely, I won't be voting for Obama in 2012.

23. oh yes it will
trust me on this. You were perhaps one of 69 million. Do you really think they will have the time to worry about your vote?

Let's just say that they were going to worry about each vote individually for an equal amount of time for the entire 4 years, I am sorry, you have already used your 1.82 seconds of concern.

16. Yep
Obama will get the nomination, and most likely the presidency. This will be a better outcome than a republican victory no doubt. I will celebrate that the country avoided Republican rule, then in 2012.

Obama's nomination and second term has no bearing on the valid criticism that should be leveled today against the White House's policies like rendition and Afghanistan. Those policies where largely criticized as horrible, unjust wars under Bush, but now they are just patriotic talking points for blue dog chicken hawks here. Odd how that works.

17. "we want Obama in 2012!"
I don't know. I reserve judgment until I see who is or isn't running against him in the Democratic primary. Its a little early to talk about the next election.
