3 days later, Obama's gallup approval essentially unchanged

Still at 44% approval. The same it was on election day.


Seems that all the gnashing of teeth and wailing we're hearing around here hasn't caused his ratings to crater.

1. Pretty much unchanged, even after they passed Health Care reform
He's been in the mid-to-high 40s since he settled in there, after the initial glow wore off (after the first few months.)

The president is holding steady, don't let anybody tell you different. He also has one of the highest approval ratings of any national politician currently in office.

2. Exactly...
The President's approval ratings are remarkably high considering how bad the economy is.

His relatively high popularity probably saved Democratic seats in many/most of these very close elections.
