3. I bet I know what you're talking about. Is this the segment where he talks about Obama's speech
Edited on Fri Dec-11-09 06:44 PM by jenmito
and shows how Obama makes such a complex argument, saying at the end something like, "Every time you think it's over, he pulls you back in"? :D He IS brilliant. (Both of them.) ;)

That Oslo speech threw everyone - Left AND Right - to a complete roller coaster. It broke so many conventions, people are is shock. :)

8. I knew it...
It sure did. I like how Stewart started out acting at first like Obama=Bush, but then he showed the OTHER part which changes the whole meaning of his speech (which nobody in the media shows), and figured out Obama's message-that it's complex, not black and white. The speech was brilliant. And he wrote it himself.

4. That gave me hope. Then I saw Fisk's statements on the escalation.
I have to say, there is no middle ground. I trust Jon, but I think Robert Fisk is right. It's a disastrous mistake.

Obama is good. But he's surrounded by quicksand in all directions, thanks to the disassembling of our country by conservatives.

11. This I agree with
I still believe in Obama. But I think he's a bit timid: in recognition of his lack of experience; in the face of all the political pressure; it's his style to build consensus more than push his agenda. I don't think he's found his legs yet...at least, I hope this is it.

16. I think you're right
But then, I'm less disappointed in him than I am with Congress. I hope President Obama bashes a few of their heads in the coming year and knocks some sense into them.

10. My favorite line of Stewart's is: "Obama forcing us to live in between absolutes." I said AMEN!
That's what's so hard for people to get. They go into two extremes not realizing that the world lives right in between.
